Before you pay a supplier
- Order samples first, always.
- Use platform-protected payment (e.g. Trade Assurance) rather than direct bank transfer.
- Ask for a video call from the factory floor.
- Check years on the platform and buyer reviews.
- Factor in shipping, customs duty and GCT/VAT — the unit price is only part of the cost.
- 1688 sellers usually won't ship abroad; you'll need a sourcing agent or freight forwarder.
Listings change often; verify each site before buying.
